Just a quick update today.
NYC + Hamburg: Customs Cleared
We're officially through customs. The containers in Hamburg should be unloaded today, NYC has already been unloaded. Next, they'll make their way to their respective warehouses in NJ and Hamburg. Really happy that this went so smooth. Once the packages arrive at the warehouses it shouldn't be much longer until you get your decks.
Bad news for Backers from Asia, Australia, NZ
According to my contact there, VFI has been struggling with Corona and they had to let a team member go, which is why things are taking a lot longer than expected. They've had the decks for more than 3 weeks at this point, and they're starting to ship out just now.
Here's an email I got 2 days ago:
"Yes, our support team will send each backer a tracking email a day after these are pulled out. For postal shipments they should be around 14 days, but with Covid, delivery estimates can be way off from that. I think almost all would have it in 30 days or less."
I hate to have to bring you bad news like this - but that's how it is I'm afraid, and there's nothing I can do.
The good news is that your decks have now entered the final phase, fulfillment, and that they will arrive at your doorstep soon! So let's try and look at the bright side.
Holistic Songwriting Academy
I'm currently working on HSA, which is an intense 36 week training program for just 30 people. The first part of this program is 12 weeks and all about Groove. The second and third trimesters on Pitch and Story will follow in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
We have a lot of exciting milestones built into the program for you, like "being able to write a perfect kick drum pattern to any song" or "being able to write a vocal line that sits perfectly in any given track". This intense workshop really takes you from zero to hero, so even if you've never written a song before, you can learn it here.

Freighters have arrived!

Hey guys, just a very quick update:
The freighters have arrived in NYC and Hamburg and your decks are currently going through customs. After that they're headed for their respective warehouses in NJ and Hamburg and from there they'll be sent to you!
I will let you know as soon as I know more.

TODAY: Container Tracking Codes!
Just a quick update today - both shipments to the US and Europe have left Shenzhen and are on their way to the warehouses from which they will be sent directly to you.
As you can see, things are looking pretty good and you might even have your package by early September instead of late September. You never know how these things pan out exactly, and we might get delayed, but nobody can forbid us to hope for the best, right?

It's official: The Decks are on their way to you.
It took longer than expected, but we're finally through the Assembly phase, in which the mass production copies were assembled into the final product.
Now, we're in the second-to-last stage of the project: Shipping. If you live in certain parts of the world (Group 1, see below), we have reached the final stage: Fulfillment.
Final chance to change your address!
To best prepare for fulfillment of your order, please check whether your address is still correct. You can change your shipping address in your backerkit account.
If you live in a country that is part of GROUP 2 (see below), please note that the decks still have to be shipped to the US and Europe, which will take another 6-8 weeks.
When will you receive your order?
GROUP 1: If you live in Australia, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Viet Nam, Taiwan, Japan, South Africa, Macao, Thailand or the Philippines, your order is fulfilled directly from China, which means that - once you have greenlighted your address - you should have your order soon - I'm hoping next week, maybe the week after that.
GROUP 2: For the rest of the world, we are now starting the Ocean Shipment phase of the project, where the packages are loaded on a freighter and shipped to warehouses in Germany and the US. This will take another 6-8 weeks.

Unboxing of the MPC, we've reached Assembly phase!

What's next?
Now that I've greenlighted this stage of the production, we're moving on to ASSEMBLY, which should take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Right now the decks are still just large sheets of cardboard that need to be assembled - and that's what happens now.
Why don't they start that immediately after production? Because if there is a problem with the MPC and parts of the printing has to be redone, it would be a lot of wasted work. Also, during the MPC check, the cardboard can acclimatize.
Two Small Differences
The MPC will be exactly what you're getting in the final version, with two small differences:
1) The MPC I received hasn't been acclimatized, which can cause warping to the material. Your final copy WILL be acclimatized so there will be no warping.
2) The MPC I received was shipped by Panda, which led to some small dents in the packaging. Your order will be fulfilled by a professional fulfillment center, so it should be well protected against getting banged up.
