Finally! US & Canada have shipped!

It's only taken us a hundred years but we're finally shipping.

Here's the message I got from QML as of today:

Hello Friedemann,

We have shipped the US fulfillment for The Songwriting Decks as of today Friedemann!

I will have you tracking soon for you to view!

Project Coordinator, Quartermaster Logistics

Not that I really had any control over it, but very sorry that things took so long!

USA, South America & Canada: Ready to Ship!

Just got this from Quartermaster Logistics:

Test Pack Photo

"Here is the test pack photo for your approval. With this approval we should be ready to ship the campaign soon!"

Quartermaster is FINALLY ready to ship out. While I don't love the sound of the word "soon", let's hope for the best! I just greenlighted the packaging.

Stay gefährlich,

Friedemann

Finally: Some good news for US, Canada & South America Backers
over 3 years ago – Sat, Sep 19, 2020 at 02:21:56 PM

US, Canada & South America Backers

Just got word from Quartermaster Logistics that the decks will reach the warehouse on Monday (9/21).

Original ETA for Jacksonville was Sep 8, so we're two weeks late, BUT:

Once the decks reach the warehouse we've finally reached the last stage of fulfillment. So just a little while longer and you'll have your copy.

Sorry that things are taking so long - not that I could do anything about it (at this point I can just sit and wait like you), but it sucks that you have to wait so long for your order to fulfill.

Stay gefährlich,

Friedemann

State of fulfillment (sorry, US & Canada!)
over 3 years ago – Thu, Sep 17, 2020 at 12:29:16 AM

We're at the end of our journey together. Thank you so much for your patience, your trust, and your kind words throughout the campaign. It really has made this kickstarter a breeze.

Today, some final updates on fulfillment.

US & Canada

Here's what I just got from QML yesterday:

Hey Friedemann,

We are still waiting for this shipment to arrive at QML. We have been seeing some delays with the shipping and importing at the ports. We expect this shipment to arrive at JAX tomorrow where it will be cleared to deliver final to QML in Orlando. We anticipate this to deliver next week and I will provide you with a warehouse receipt upon delivery to confirm what the warehouse has received.

With the delivery expected next week, we anticipate fulfillment to begin from QML within 1-3 weeks of the receipt date. This shipping date will be narrowed down even further once we receive the goods in house and generate orders/provide test packing for approval!

I'm very sorry to all backers from the US and Canada, things are taking longer than expected. But on the bright side, we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I know it sucks that backers from Europe are already receiving their packages, I hate that just as much as you - I wish everyone could've gotten their decks at the same time.

At least I can tell you that the feedback for the decks so far has been overwhelmingly positive, so you can look forward to a great product! :)

Asia, NZ, Australia

Here's an email from VFI I got today:

Hi Friedemann,

These games have all shipped direct or are on hub shipment on its way.  All backers would have received tracking information at this time.

Europe & Rest of the World

Most of you will already have their decks or you should get them shortly. You should have gotten a tracking code.

Stay gefährlich & see you at the next Kickstarter,

Friedemann

First Review, we're shipping, and a big THANK YOU!

First Review

Really excited to say that we got our first review! To me, this alone makes it worth all the hard work in the past 3 years. So happy to see this make a difference. Check out fail2guitar's quick review:

Now we're shipping!

It's been a long, long wait for all of us - can you believe it's already been 9 months since you backed the Songwriting Decks on Kickstarter?

Well, finally all the waiting is going to pay off - the Songwriting Decks are shipping now.

US + Canada

Good news! I just got (and immediately paid) the invoice from Quartermaster Logistics, so I expect packages to ship out next week! If things should take a little longer, please be patient though. This is just an estimate.

Europe + Rest of the World

If you live in Europe, most likely you'll already have gotten your decks, but don't worry if you didn't - some parts of Europe might just take a little longer.

Asia + NZ + Australia

Here's the last I heard from VFI on September 2nd: "Yes, our support team will send each backer a tracking email a day after these are pulled out. For postal shipments they should be around 14 days, but with Covid, delivery estimates can be way off from that. I think almost all would have it in 30 days or less."

That's annoying, especially considering that VFI has been sitting on the decks for months at this point (their packages didn't have to be ocean shipped after all) - but they tell me they've been having staffing issues following Covid-19. Very sorry, all, I'm afraid it's out of my hands.

Thank you!

Thank you all so much for this incredible campaign, I'm truly lost for words. ...but I'll write some anyways. I had been preparing for this kickstarter for almost two full years. From other people's stories, I expected the worst, and all I got was the very best.

You all have been incredibly kind, patient and encouraging. When I told Tyler from Panda Manufacturing that the whole kickstarter was "a lot easier than anticipated", he said that's the first time he's heard a first-time kickstarter creator say that.

So thank you! YOU made this possible.

Stay gefährlich,

Friedemann
